Map Your Waste Flow!
 

As a fun and innovative way of getting to know stakeholders and their perspectives, the Ocean Plastic Prevention Accelerator (OPPA) devised a waste flow mapping tool in 2019 to explore waste management systems with a variety of actors. The game provides insight into how waste flows, according to different waste generators, and how waste management systems are viewed differently. Most importantly, the game explores the impact of potential interventions and facilitates discussion and interaction between the different actors. Building on the successes of the implementation of the waste flow game during workshops and meetings, OPPA decided to digitize the game so it is easily accessible for groups or organizations in different cities to map the waste flow in their area!
