The Ocean Plastic Prevention Accelerator (OPPA) team collaborated with Danone Indonesia, Refill My Bottle, and Terra Water Indonesia, and held a virtual webinar about Indonesia’s Drinking Water Circular Future on October 26, 2021. The webinar was attended by 37 participants.
Jeffri Ricardo from Danone Indonesia shared about Aqua reusable jugs and how it is used as circular packaging, along with its challenges and opportunities. They are also exploring alternative methods to deliver the jugs with less GHG emission. Christine Go from Refill My Bottle talked about how their refill initiative started, current impacts, and what their plans are in the future. The last speaker was Radhya Avisya from Terra Water Indonesia and she explained about the Terra Water filter components, how to use it, and the benefits of using them. All three initiatives demonstrated a great outlook for drinking water in Indonesia.
The webinar concluded with a very lively Q&A session, where all three speakers were able to share additional information on their respective initiatives. The OPPA team extends its appreciation to all three speakers and participants, and hoping that more people become aware of all the different ongoing circular initiatives and take part!
