In the midst of the current uncertain situation, the OPPA team is changing its strategy in working and running the program. We are lucky enough that we are still able to implement social distancing recommendations by doing working from home. Some activities such as the competition were need to be postponed, but other activities such as regular workshops are still held by changing the format to a virtual workshop. Curious about the process?
Sometime ago (19/3) the OPPA team held a 6-hour Fundraising (I) Workshop with Irma Sitompul as the speaker and was followed by the participants of the accelerator program. We use zoom video conferencing as a virtual meeting room. Previously, we sent participants a guide on the technicalities of using zoom and made sure that they had tested before the workshop so that they were already familiar with online learning methods.Obstacles encountered? There must be, one of them is an internet connection that doesn’t always support it. For that we also provide support to participants related to the purchase of the best internet package. In addition, we try to minimize the “awkward” situation by conducting interactive activities such as ice breaking, games, and breakout group for material practices. With the clear instruction of virtual workshop plus super cool speaker, the participants remained enthusiastic in participating in the workshop until it is finished.
Participants learned about mapping donors and investors, measure company level and institutions, and practiced in setting up the targets and fundraising plans. They also said that even though the workshops were conducted online they were still able to absorb knowledge to the maximum extent such as during face-to-face workshops.
That’s all the story from the OPPA virtual workshop that we held in the midst of a situation that we must respond wisely and creatively together. For all of you who work from home and for anyone who still have to go outside for work, please stay safe and healthy!

Beberapa kegiatan seperti kompetisi terpaksa kami tunda, namun beberapa kegiatan lain seperti workshop rutin tetap kami selenggarakan dengan mengubah format menjadi workshop virtual. Penasaran gimana prosesnya?
